couple listening to why they should attend the home inspection

We loved how Bill helped us to learn more about the house and established a priority fixing list with us. Bill is a great communicator, very easy to talk to, he was patient and answered all our questions. He gave us all these little tips on how we can fix things. He was very thorough. He put us at peace about our house purchase decision. He scanned the entire house with a thermal imaging camera to look for insulation leaks and moisture problems, we are super happy with his service and will recommend him to our friends. ~ S. Wunderli

Should I Attend the Home Inspection

Learn About Your Future Home

You may be wondering if you should attend the home inspection. While your presence is not a requirement, Canadian Residential home inspectors invite their clients to attend the home inspection if possible. It is a great learning experience.

A typical home inspection takes between two to three hours and it is time well spent for the client.  The inspector will be able to point out details as you move around the property and examine its various parts. Our home inspectors will not only provide information about the condition of the home but also future maintenance tips.

IDEAL FOR FIRST-TIME HOME BUYERS

Learn about the operation of different systems within the home and proper maintenance. You’ll be able to ask questions about the issue, what kind of repairs might be needed and whether you can do them yourself. While the inspection report will contain similar information and the inspector will review the report with you over the phone if you are unable to attend, there is great value in being present for the inspection experience.

Our clients are constantly telling us how much they learned from their inspector while shadowing them during the home inspection. It provides the potential purchaser with the opportunity to ask questions.
